Great news for Michael Phelps today. Michael Phelps can once again venture into the state of South Carolina without the fear of arrest hanging over his head! A photo of Michael Phelps smoking a bong at a University of South Carolina party was leaked to News of the World at the beginning of the month. The local sheriffs department told the media that they were thinking about whether or not to charge Phelps.
Today, Sheriff Leon Lott finally reached the thrilling conclusion that no, they’re not going to charge Phelps. The decision may stem from public sentiment that Lott’s investigation was a waste of taxpayer’s money and the fact that the most they could throw at Phelps was a minor drug charge. No word on the eight others arrested in connection with the leaked photo. But at the behest of a sponsor, Michael Phelps has recorded a video apology to the people of China, expressing his remorse over the recently published pictures of him using a marijuana pipe and thanking them for their support and forgiveness. Michael Fred Phelps (born June 30, 1985 in Baltimore, Maryland, United States) is an American swimmer. He is a 14-time Olympic gold medalist (the most by any Olympian) and he currently holds seven world records in swimming. Phelps holds the record for the most gold medals won at a single Olympics with the eight golds he won at the 2008 Olympic Games. With this record, he surpassed Mark Spitz, who was also a swimmer and had held the previous gold medal total with the seven that he won at the 1972 Olympic Games. blogywoodbabes.blogspot.com
